The Iowana

The Iowana is located at 203 West Montgomery Street in Downtown Creston and serves seniors age 62 and over. The Hotel Iowana opened in August 1920 and operated as a hotel until the 1980’s. It had been vacant since the 1990’s until the renovation began in 2010.

The renovation created 24 apartment the historic shell. The Iowana has six full floors and a mezzanine level. The upper floors, have 14 one-bedroom units averaging 710 square feet and 9 two-bedroom units averaging 1,017 square feet. At street level, The Iowana offers its tenants a restored grand lobby and vestibule, community room, computer lab, exercise room, craft room, storage areas and a leasing office.
